In October 2024, we underwent a significant transformation, evolving from Humainds to what is now Alba. This journey represents more than just a rebrand, it's a complete refocusing of our mission and product strategy.

When we began as Humainds, we operated as a product studio with strong technical capabilities but lacked a concentrated direction. Our expertise in building was evident, but our efforts were dispersed across too many different initiatives.

Our first pivot took us into the voice API SDK space. This move aligned better with our passion for voice technology, but we still found ourselves serving multiple market segments without the focus needed to create truly transformative impact.

Through these experiences, we learned a fundamental lesson: the market doesn't need another generic tool. What it demands are specialized solutions that address specific pain points with precision and excellence.

The redesign and migration to Alba came from a moment of clarity, we recognized that customer research was fundamentally broken. Traditional methods were proving to be slow, prohibitively expensive, and impossible to scale effectively.

With this insight, we completely reimagined our approach. The Alba redesign focused on creating a streamlined, purpose-built platform that makes voice-based customer interviews as simple as sending an email. We rebuilt our technology stack from the ground up, refined our user experience, and aligned every aspect of our product with this singular mission.

The migration process involved not just technical changes, but a philosophical shift in how we approach problem-solving. We moved away from being a company that could build many things to one that builds one thing exceptionally well.

The name Alba, meaning dawn or daybreak in several languages, perfectly captures the essence of our transformation. After navigating through the uncertainty of being a generalist product studio, Alba emerged as that first light breaking through darkness, a moment of clarity that illuminated our path forward.
